A board game for 2 to 6 players

Gather a gem from every castle, then claim the hantag gem

Slide stones to build paths, walk your heroes along them, and win the gem at the center of the world. Play against the computer, or pass one device around the table.

Hard players plan all of each turn’s slides together, to reach a gem that turn when they can. Standard players look one slide ahead. Easy players misjudge the board now and then and never call a hero home.

Heroes each turn

The rulebook lets you move your castle hero and the hantag hero as often as you like. The older booklet let you move one of them each turn, and displace at most once.

When a hero meets a hero

The rulebook sends a displaced hero home, as the game has since 1999. Push and pull was the game’s first rule: a hero stepping into another hero’s space pushes it one space on, and a hero stepping from a space onto a stone can pull the hero right behind it along.

Castles nobody plays

With their stones, an empty castle is walled in: nobody can slide those stones, so you pull your way in. Empty castles make shorter games.

Make your own copy of Hantag: the board in four sheets, the keeps and collections, stones, heroes, gems, two dice to fold, and the rulebook. Print at 100% on card stock and cut it out.
